Thanks to the great efforts and involvement of PGA Championship Player Stewart Cink, The Healing Place Charity Championship Golf Tournament has helped to raise thousands of dollars to help support the efforts of The Healing Place in support for children who are grieving. The Healing Place Charity Golf Championship was created in 2003 with three goals in mind:
- To fund the operation of The Healing Place in their efforts of offering grief support.
- To raise awareness of grief needs of children, teens and their caregivers in this community and others.
- To offer a high quality, professionally managed event featuring some of the best professionals from both the PGA Tour and surrounding PGA sections.
