The Healing Place is a non-profit facility that offers on-going education and grief support programs for grieving children, adolescents and their families or guardians. The Healing Place is committed to offering support to grieving children and families in an atmosphere of trust and acceptance in order to promote a sense of well-being and productivity in its participants. |

We can't help the bereaved without your help and contributions |
| Group support services for the grieving are provided free of charge for participants. The center is funded by contributions from individuals, organizations and foundations. The Healing Place and Hospice of the Shoals, two non-profit providers of bereavement services, formed a "partnership of compassion" to offer invaluable support to the bereaved of Colbert, Franklin and Lauderdale Counties. |

Healing Place Grief Support Volunteer Information

If you would like to help us in our mission and feel you may not have the financial resources available to assist with the funding of the center, you may be able to help in other ways. The Healing Place trains volunteers to help with the children, adolescent and adult groups. Volunteers also assist with fundraising, special events and office support.
