A "Virtual" Tour of The Healing Place Facility

| Welcome to The Healing Place - A Center for Loss and Change. The concept behind The Healing Place is to provide a comfortable, safe, welcoming atmosphere for children that are grieving due to the loss of a family member, friend or other loved one. Once the child and family feel comfortable, they are encouraged to discuss how they feel in regards to their loss. If they are not comfortable with sharing their emotions at that time, that's fine as well, and The Healing Place provides "Theme Rooms" where children and teens may go where they feel most comfortable and are able to have their own "space" or share with other kids. |
The Healing Place "Living Room" |

| The "Living Room" is just that. A place that is comfortable with a "homey and warm" atmosphere. The "Living Room" is designed to help put children and visitors at ease when visiting The Healing Place. |
The Healing Place "Quiet Room" |

| The purpose of the"Quiet Room" is for children and teens to have a place to meet together and tell their story if they wish. The "Quiet Room" also provides a peaceful space for being still and calm. Kids may read books, watch television, color or visit with other grieving children. The main rule in this room is "Quiet as a mouse." |
