The Activity Room |
 |
| The purpose of the "Activity Room" is for children to express their feelings in healthy ways through games and competition. Children's primary mode of communication is through behavior, thus they are usually less verbal than adults. Play is their way of working through internal experiences and their grief. In addition, when grief support counselors observe the actions and personalities of children expressing themselves, it gives them better insight into possibilities for specific areas where attention may be necessary or needed. |
